After extensive testing and fixing problems in Beta we are ready to publish Release Candidate build. Some critical fixes can still happen in this branch, but otherwise we are almost ready to release.
If you are using any nightly build or beta, please upgrade to Release Candidate. If by chance you find a problem that prevents ReSharper 4 from being used on a regular basis, please tell us! You can submit request into our issue tracking system, and we will try hard to fix any critical problem, if we can reproduce it. So please, please, please, include as much information about your environment, projects and source files as you can.
Thank you very much for participating in our Early Access Program!

Congratulations on getting the product this far. I hope the final legs of the product cycle go well for you.
Thanks Chris!
I loved the light saber image in the installer!
"Tools Matter" perfect.
Ilya,
Any chance there will be support for "replace with character" as a macro within a live template? I would love to use this so I can generating test method names that need an underscore to connect words for my tests, but would allow someone to just type a sentence. :-)
Great news! Btw. how many developers have worked on r# in average? :)
Do you have Visual Studio SP1 beta support? I had a problems with resharper beta, after installation SP1 beta for VS 2008
Nick, there is already such request to replace spaces with underscores. I keep an eye on those BDD practices, and we will come up with some solution to the issue in one of the next versions.
Naraga, team size changes from time to time. You can find team members for ReSharper 4 on this screenshot :)
Shapovalov,
SP1 Beta appeared too late in our release cycle, so it may work or may not work for you. We will adress issues with that service pack in next bug fix update.
Any plans to support MbUnit? (please, please, please?)
I installed the release candidate after uninstalling the beta, and now when I start the release candidate I get "resharper 4 beta expired" and it is disabled. Any ideas how I can fix this?
Chris,
We don't have plans to support mbUnit, but check Gallio.
Neil, please email support@jetbrains.com with information about your local time, data and timezone. Thanks.
Sorry, I am being a complete idiot. I had changed my clock to test some functionality and clearly that is screwing with your expiry checks!
Congrats Ilya. I really like how this release is comong together, and recent builds have been just a delight to work with.
Ilya, many thanks for the new version. I've used R# since it's very first EAP and have to say that this has easily been the smoothest EAP journey so far. This despite there being many new and deep language features to support in C#3. I have to agree with @xtoff: "recent builds have been just a delight to work with". Many thanks to you and all the team!
